A few Yaesu and Kenwood radios have a seperate FSK keying input and will need an extra lead (not included) to operate FSK.
These include;

In order to operate CAT; the FT990 reqs rom1.3, the FT1000 requires rom6.0
Some older Kenwood radios may need upgrading with pre-requisite upgrades (IF10 chipset etc or alternative) before those radios can operate CAT, it is your responsibility to check that any required upgrades have been done.

Hi performance USB CAT and DATA interface.
All you need all together built into one interface. Performance second to none, with professional quality isolating transformers in both RX and TX lines with a flat frequency response 100Hz to 20KHz (+-3dB). Giving cleaner and clearer RX and TX signals, with no risk of receiving or worse, transmitting any "hum". Low power consumption makes it ideal for laptops as well as desktop.
Supports ALL data mode software and all data modes, PSK, RTTY, SSTV, and 100's of other modes, AFSK and *FSK, complete with built in CAT interface.
For use with ALL AFSK DATA software including, HRD, DM780, FLDigi, MixW, DigiPan, N1MM, WSJT, EasyPal etc. FSK via MMTTY(EXTFSK) etc, etc and of course, at the same time as your favourite CAT software.
The DigiMaster PRO+ is a sophisticated interface with simple and highly flexible configuration, which enables the interface to be used with ANY DATA mode software and ANY CAT software [*] AT THE SAME TIME. (Provided that the software you intend to use supports your radio).
You can use a single combined CAT and DATA software package (eg HRD and DM780, or MixW), or you can use your own combination of CAT[*] and DATA software packages, (eg HRD with EasyPal or DigiPan, or your own favourite data mode software). Can also be used with remote operation software (via Internet) such as IRBHost etc, and allow remote users access to operate your station and it's CAT and DATA mode software. (Your data mode software can of course be voice software such as Skype).
The interface is based on FTDI's popular 2232 USB chip which provides the interface with 2 (virtual) comports.
The first (virtual) comport dedicated to give you full control over the interfaces PTT, CW, and FSK keying functions (FSK uses Txd signal standard polarity). And the second (virtual) comport being dedicated to the CAT interface section.
The 2 fully independent ports enables the interface to operate with ALL DATA mode software and ALL CAT software or any combination of CAT and DATA software.
Designed and built to last for years with sturdy aluminum case, approx. 80mm wide, 45mm high, 120mm deep. On/off switch and red/green led for Rx/Tx. Front panel Tx and Rx drive level adjustment. Leads to PC are approx 1.8m length and leads from interface to radio are approx 0.6m length.
The CW lead, USB and audio leads are all supplied as standard, as are the CAT and DATA leads appropriate for your selection of radio.
The CW lead is fitted with a standard 3.5mm jack. If you radio needs a 1/4" CW jack then you will need to use your own adapter.
For the vast majority of radios, the DATA lead supplied is wired for both FSK and AFSK - (ALL Icoms that support FSK, and most Kenwoods that support FSK). Some Yaesu radios that support FSK, and some Kenwoods that support FSK have separate FSK (RTTY) inputs and need an additional / special FSK cable along with the supplied AFSK cable. These cables (and others) can be purchased as optional extras and plug into the interfaces CW/FSK socket, or into the interfaces DATA socket (depending on cable and the radio's connections).

DigiMaster USB ProPlus

The CAT interface section of the DigiMaster USB PRO+ is a plug in module " CM[x] module" that is available in 3 versions.
The interface comes complete with a CM[x] module (and cables) suitable for your radio selection.
When you make a purchase you simply select your radio from the drop down list and the correct CM[x] module and cables are automatically selected for you.
ALL cables and modules are available seperately so you have no worries should ever change your radio and need different leads or a different CAT system.
The connecting cables to the radio are simply plugged in or out and can be easily changed as required. The CM[x] module is a plug in module that can also be easily replaced (should you ever need to change it).
There is a CM[x] module to support any CAT version.

[1] CM1 module. - TTL CAT interface.
The CM1 module is used for all Icom the CIV radios and many Yaesu radios that use a CAT interface, (including many of the older Yaesu radios using either 6 pin din, 6 pin mini din, 8 pin mini din).
The CM1 module also supports the "Y4" cable for CAT via mic on FT857 and FT897).
The "Y4" cable (available separately) connects CAT via the FT857's and FT897's mic socket, so allowing FT857 and FT897 users to use the CAT/LINEAR/TUNER socket for your ATU or other equipment.

[2] CM2 module. - Inverted TTL CAT interface.
For the older Kenwoods TS440, TS450(s) TS850(s) that use the 6 pin din CAT socket.
To operate CAT some older Kenwood radios may need pre-requisite upgrades (IF10 chipset etc or alternative) before they can operate CAT, this is entirely your responsibility to check.
Many popular Kenwood radios had these upgrades fitted as standard (TS-450 and TS-850).

[3] CM3 module. - RS232 CAT interface. For ALL those radios that use a serial cable.

When you receive your DigiMaster USB ProPlus, plug in the USB cable to your PC and run the DigiMaster ProPlus test program.
