  Radio: IC-7000

CI-V menu settings:
48 CI-V Baud Rate: 19200
49 CI-V Address: 70h (default)

Software - Interface has been used with HRD and RMS Express.

In HRD, set the com port to the higher numbered (i.e. the CAT port) of the Digimaster PRO+, set the baud rate to 19200, and the address to 70h.

Manual PTT was used.

In RMS Express, use the higher port for CAT control (19200 bps, 70h). PTT can be configured in one of two ways. Either specify CI-V for PTT, or use the lower numbered COM port for PTT, and make sure DTR and RTS are checked on that port.

  FT5000.

I found that the PKT mode on the 5000 defaults to a 500hz bandwidth. You have to manually change the width to 2400 on the "A" vfo control. Also I found that the PKT offset needs to be set to 1000hz so that the signals in the USB and PKT -USB modes match. Not very clear in the manual.

IF USING the Y4 cable (for CAT via the mic socket) set radio menu 59 to CAT and radio menu 19 to 4800.

Device manager showed new comports at com 7 and com 8.

Using HRD.
Set HRD to;-

To get the radio and computer to talk, change the radios settings (via radio menu) for both the RTS and the baud rate (set it to "off" and "38400", respectively). Device manager showed that the interface had been assigned to com3 and com4, so I set the software (HRD) to com 4, 38400, and checked the RTS box. The instructions are not clear on HRD, but it works now.
